TDY Longest Event Loop (on planet earth?)

We checked. At 1,200 miles, TDY is the longest loop event route in the entire country. Maybe the continent. Maybe the world.

Maybe that intimidates you. Maybe it inspires you. Probably both. Whether all at once or spread over the years, everyone on the Hall of Plaid got it done! They are forever memorialized and can yell it out loud – “I completed the longest loop bike event!”. You can add “in the world” if you want. We wouldn’t doubt it. Put that on your wall. Nobody can take that away from you!

Do you think you can do it? We think you can. Over the years people have affirmed one of TDY’s core belief’s – that “We are capable of more than we realize”. People show up all ages, all abilities, all kinds of varying training miles… with one thing in common – they are here to experience something spectacular.

You might not know us personally yet, but the TDY community is here to help you do accomplish amazing things. And in turn, you will help show us and the world how incredible humans really are.

We hope you join us. Show up for all 10 days. Or dip your toes in the challenge and ride a day or two. You’ll be inspired, you’ll be proud, and you will inspire others. You can do this!

We already have a fabulous group of riders for 2023. Grandfather and grandson duo. Husband and wife duo. Girlfriend and boyfriend duo. Father and son duo. New riders, returning riders, 20+ plaids will be earned. This 6th time around the U.P. looks like it’s going to be a memorable one!

Registration closes on June 9th. Reach out if you have questions. Hit the register button if you are interested. And get out there and ride your bike. I’ve personally only been on one ride so far this year. You have plenty of time to get in shape – but now is the time to get started!

Here’s a link to an article describing the tour of 2022.

The U.P., surrounded by Great Lakes, pops from outer space. You can look at a globe and say, I did that!

Can’t wait to ride with you!
